Aperçu

Imprisoned in a Hokkaido jail for committing a robbery; he escapes alongside Kazama Ichitaro. Along the way, he is aided by the Ainu men Nishite and Tokuhira Masaki. His encounters with figures like Takeda Sokaku, Kim Ok-gyun, and Sun Yat-sen lead him to awaken to the path of the "kingly way" (王道).
