Rudolph the Reindeer is a candy addicted and one of the nine Reindeers fighting under the Grand Santa Claus' commands in order to defeat Cauchemar, which, being the personification of the pain and sadness felt by the souls of humans who have suffered and committed suicide, attack human children whose souls are still pure. However, after 200 years of performing this duty, the Grand Santa Claus, Klaus-sama, had reached his limit and was about to die, and so he inserted his own powers into a snowflake and released it all over the world, in the search for new vessels and sucessors.
